Recently used the Ebrake to help me stop on my way home, pads are bad. I am installing them tommorow. But, my e brake light stays on when disengaged, i can feel the rotors have a ton of friction on them, holding my car back from throttle. Any idea? I have a sufficient ammount of brake fluid innthe resevior. Need help asap please.

The e-brake is purely mechanical, nothing hydraulic about it.
Also it uses the same pads your regular brakes do, so you weren't saving anything by trying to stop using it.
Jack up the rear wheels.
Are both being held from spinning?
If so, the e-brake cable may be stuck near where it comes out of the handle.
That could account for the handle not going down fully and turning off the light too.
If its only one side dragging, it could that side's e-brake cable, or that caliper has a problem inside with its mechanism.

I am aware. I am also under the impression the line for the e brake holds the inside of the rotor not the callipers..? I daily a wedled diff so it will be hard to tell which side. Iam goin to jack it up tommorow and take a look.
