I am hooking up VLED's white strips for my DRL. I bought the adapter to plug into the existing oem plug. Everything worked I got them lit and everything. I then was trying to decide on where to mount everything and decided under the headlight was a good place. I took the plug adapter off the left side (near the battery) so I could run the wire underneath. The picture below is the adapter piece I took off. When I put the piece back on it wouldn't light anything including the stock bulbs. At this point the right side was still lighting the DRL. I thought maybe I messed up the adapter peice (picture) and took the left side off. That was a big mistake now none of them light. I couldn't find a tester at the local hardware store. What do you guys suggest? The fuse is good.

I could cut the wires and just run them directly to the LED (I really didn't want to do that in the first place)

I could try an get 2 more adapters but I don't think thats the problem.

Im not sure what your question is, but I believe the picture is of the socket for the actual DRL that is in the orange reflector.
How this fits into your situation, i am unsure....

Sounds like you may have damaged some wiring when trying to relocate the harness to a new location. Id check your wire runs and get a cheap continuity tester from an electronics store or auto parts store.
