When Accelerating my engine kinda stumbles also my temp gauge goes up to normal temp reading only when heavy accel. is applied. When i let off the gas to shift or even decel., the temp gauge drops all the way down. I have another manifold i am going to put on soon, along with a new coolant temp sensor, should i replace the part that gives a signal to the temp gauge as well.

Does the stumbling sound like it's MAFS related or can a coolamt temp sensor cause the motor to stumble?

TIA JEremy

Read up on the EGR threads in here and do some of the tests for the stumbling. For you gauge issue sounds like the lug on the single wire sender is loose. just replace it. like 15 bucks at the dealer. Probably cheaper through one of our sponsors.

yeah, the temp deal is more than likely electrical as actual temperature wont be that erratic.

to check the stumble(if you suspect maf probs) monitor the maf voltage during the stumble(at the white wire).

Yeah I kinda suspected the EGR to be involved, I am blocking the thing off on my new manifold, so hopefully it isn't a problem. Thanks for the info guys.

I check up on that MAFS.
