Hello people, I'm new here.

I just got a my coupe 2 weeks ago and was thinking about modifying the taillights. Now, I saw a lot of people on the internet and on this website that have smoked taillights and they look pretty badass. Do you guys think tinting the tailights would be better or getting new tailights like these is better?

Any and all opinions are appreciated. If you can post pics that's even way better. I have a silver 2009 coupe.

Thanks in-advance.

Hi,

Alright one more question; The taillights tint is one default % or they have options like windows (5% 15% 35%)?

Thank you.

hey....

The tail lights smoke is vinly not regular tint... since tint would scratch fast on the outside of the car.. I believe to make it darker additional layers are added i have one layer and looks good like that :)

Me personally I am a huge fan of VHT Niteshades. It to mee gives the most professional look if done properly.

Alright well, I'm going to buy those taillights off ebay anyways and I will post pics. If I don't like them I can still go back to my stock. You guys will be the judge. It'll take 2-5 days.

I looked long and hard at those tailiights when I got my AC last year. Why the engineers chose white insulation strip around the entire light as a design choice is an affront to my sense of aesthetics.

I wanted to hear people's different opinions that's all. I have the money to test them out if I don't like them I'll go with the tinted one.

Buy the grey or "smoked" version of those LED tails, apply 1 layer of Oracal 8300 film (comes in 2 shades that are grey, check their website for color codes), call it a day.
1) You get LED tails
2) The smoked version does not have white sealant
3) You can actually still see your brake and turn signals through 1 layer of the Oracal (or 2 for that matter) whereas VHT or Rustoleum spray lens tint drastically inhibits the light output
4) You can always remove it if you dont like it or get too much heat from the fuzz
