Hi all, I am a new member on this board. I recently purchased a 240sx from a friend of mine after I totalled my old car. I know a good bit about engines and making power, but I have never had a turbo car before. It is a 1989 Nissan 240SX, Sr20det with a 5/spd. Im kinda wondering what is the power this is making, and what I need to do next. im thinking about replacing the intercooler with a blitz or some other higher brand name one, b/c this one is a off brand, and when he painted the car he oversprayed it so it blends in. oh btw its running 9psi, he said there was a pill in the line. how/what can i turn the boost up to safely, or what do i need to do to get it a bit higher? please excuse me if i ask some dum questions, im just trying to learn from people who know about these motors. but i thank you for looking, sorry its so long :P and really appreciate any help you can render!!! or if you need any more information just ask, i will get it to you. -Dougie-

I don't think you need to replace the FMIC anytime soon honestly.

You can run about 14-15 psi (1 bar) safely on the setup you have.

Okay so I want to get the boost up to 14psi. Before I get a boost controller (any suggestions on a good one?) I was reading about some other things that would need to be replaced as the power goes up. I was planning on a greddy headgasket, and valve springs with a rocker stop plate. a set of tomei 555cc injectors. and possibly a koyo radiator. I know i may not need all that stuff for still being on stock turbo, but i know i would need it eventually, and it just looks like that would make it all the more safer. can yall think of anything else i might want to get or look into?
