I would like a turbo with some decent spool (will be dragged, no drifting) that can put down 400whp +. What would you guys recommend. Here's my engine setup (s13 redtop) - stuff in bold I already have: HKS RASTomei valve guides (maybe?)aftermarket valves (maybe?)HKS valve springsCrower tit. retainersHKS stage 2 264 intake camHKS stage 2 272 exh. camHKS cam gearsARP head studs Cometic .020 overbore stock comp. metal headgasketWiseco .020 overbore pistonsCrower billet rodsmicropolished and balanced crankshaftGreddy maincrank studsnew OEM/aftermarket conrod and maincrank bearings(haven't decided yet)tubular exh. manifold - depends on the type of turbo I get (I've been eyeing the 8 gauge stainless steel one on phase2)

I'd say something along the lines of an SC61, GT35R, or a GT3040R.

thats a lot of cam you have there. make sure your engine managment can rev to 8000 or so. with any of those turbos you should be good for 400+ with room to spare. i have heard of people having issues with compressor surge on the gt35 unless you get a "ported shroud" whatever that is. i should also mention i thing a gt30r would suit your power goal.

Yeah, my motor redlines at 8,200rpm -- the ECU that came with my front clip was reprogrammed (that's the only change that I know of on it besides the obvious removal of the speed limiter).

nice, she should be a real zinger then. that setup(assuming a big efficient turbo) should get you good power without insane boost.

Did yo uever pick that turbo??? and which exhaust manifold works with the GT35R (well...which SR20 exhaust manifold works with t3 turbos?) only top mounts? no chance of a bottom mount manifold at all?
