I've got an '08 M35 with new 20" wheels and I want to drop it with either Teins or Eibachs. My wife is complaining that if I do she'll rub the front end on sidewalk curbs and parking space chocks. (telling her to be careful ain't working!)OK, 2 things, which springs do you recommend and will there be a problem with curb clearence with a mild drop?

Mild drop....Tein H Techs...I just put them on mine.

But we only talk about 1" here. If she's gonna hurt a curb..shes gonna hit the curb. 1" isnt gonna make a difference.

How about some pictures. Add to the suspension data base. How do you like them? How's the ride quality as contrasted with before? How's the handling? Please give your opinion Janken.

I got an idea--I'll just do it and not tell her, she probally wouldn't notice anyway!! By the way, is there a thread on how to add pictures to posts?

Listen to what she is SAYING!!! She said, "I will rub the front end on side walks curbs and parking space chocks" LISTEN!

If she says, "dont buy a gun because I will kill someone" Your best bet would be not to buy a gun.

Eibach Pro's, 20 inch FX wheels, not a problem. No rubs, rides as smooth, better handling, and great look. I am not here to convince you, or your wife, or anyone else, I am just happy with this setup!

It seems this is a car you'll both be sharing. That should be the deal killer right there because the dropping is appropriate for you but your wife definitely giving the impression she's not signing on for that. I think it's very considerate of her to warn you she may have accidents. Not that she's gonna try to but driving a dropped car is not within her ability. I think you should feel fortunate you got away with the 20" wheels.

yeah i dont know about dropping a car that you share with the wife women tend to forget that they are driving a lowered car nothing against women its just that something like that is not important to them so they would just forget about My girlfriend drove my M the other day ago i think i had to remind her about 5 times that my car is lowered there she was to worried about the radio and her phone instead of the curve even a mild drop probaly is not safe
