I have a 2001 pathfinder. Which O2 sensor is this and how do I verify that it is bad? Is it hard to change? Can I do it myself?

Any answers to my questions would be great.

Thanks

How did you get the code, because if you had it scanned I would assume it would tell you which one it is. I have a bad O2 sensor too but when i had it scanned it told me which sensor. Unfortunately i don't think i wrote down which code it was though, but i'll check right now. I'm not sure if you can do it yourself, i don't know what's involved. I'm having the guys at my dad's diesel truck change mine soon. But i also heard that you can't just change one, that you have to change them all...can anybody help me/us out with that one?

edit: i do have the code but it's not the same as yours. My code was P0158 which is bank 2 sensor 2 (at least you can eliminate that one!)

Go through the sticky for OBDII codes. Might help. Also try a search. Lots of info on O2 sensors. It's a common problem.

nah you dont have to replace all 4. and the scanner doesnt really tell you much that i would rely on besides the code. i had a p0160, replaced the drivers side rear o2, reset the SES light, had the ECU flashed, now its good to go.

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Owne...3.htm

that lists 4 diff codes for bank 2 sensor 2 but im assuming its different problems with that particular sensor....but remember mines an '02 with the vq35, but still an R50. i think thats for all R50's but correct me if im wrong.

Did you change the o2 before the converter or the o2 after the converter?
