Check your fluid, then check your slave cylinder. if both are good, pull your trans and check out your clutch.

As he said, check fluid. If you have lost some its probably your master cylinder. Most likely the slave though, easy fix.

Slave is on the bell-housing, passenger side. Master Cylinder is on the firewall, the one not on a brake booster...

I'm having a similar problem. I replaced my clutch, slave/master, removed dampener, bled for hours, and for some reason my pedal will only retract half way and the clutch wont fully engage when I try to pop it. It takes a second and it will finally kick in. My buddy told me I need to drop the transmission again and replace the pressure plate to solve my problems. Before I go through hours of hell in my driveway, is there anything else I should consider? No bubbles or leaks, wtf is going on?

Before I dove into that id try and adjust the rod on the master, where it is pinned to the peddle. Other then that, the last step would be pressure plate.

if you still have a rubber hose in the clutch system they can collapse internally and cause some pretty strange problems.
