ok so im gonna start looking for new tires. I should be getting my 2 inch suspension lift any day now. And i want to get some nice knobby tires to go with. And i was wondering about wheel sizes. The thing is that the tires i have now are 31x10.50 r15 and they arent very wide at all. I kindof want something with a little more poke. I was wondering if i could go with some 32x11.50? or would they rub? and if they do then what size is the biggest i could go without wheel rub.

I put the Mickey Thompson MTZ 31x10.50 and the sidewall on it makes my car look badass. I get compliments on them everywhere I go. Check my website out to see some pictures http://www.myspace.com/brodie_sucks. They are not loud on the road and a couple people have said that they last a long time.

I've personally decided to go with General Grabber AT2's next time I get tires. I've done a LOT of searching around and they seem to be the best bang for the buck. I really want BFG All-Terrains but they're just SO expensive!

Ya i have the 31x10.50 BFG all terrains on right now. There pretty good tires but i want something that would look gnarly and do good off road.

Ya my bro just got those mickey thompson baja's and they are kick-ars.

P.S. the BFG all terrains are on sale right now 4wheelparts.com

BFG's are priced up about 20% for the name and are probably one of the shortest lasting tires on the road, go figure.

I run some 32x11.5 BFG Mudterrains that work very well for me. After these though I'm cutting the hell outta my fenders & running 33x12.5 Super Swampers - non of those p****-a** radial sh*t either. Stay the hell away from Pro Comps (I've had real bad experience with them).

If anyone is looking for stock sized 17" tires, then I think you should consider the Yokhama Geoloander G051.

Great price, long treadwear, good balance of snow/rain/ice ratings, and look good too. Quiet tooo....ssssssshhhhhhh.

I compared them side by side with several others at tirerack.com, asked around town here in Omaha, and purchased last fall.

Had a couple of 6-8" snowfalls this Winter here in Omaha, and they carve that crap up like Gouda.

Later.
