i know this is a Nissan site but try to be as unbiased as possible

But im stuck between a GSR integra or a 91(and up) 240sxIve heard good and bad things of both and im having a hard time diceiding.I dont race illigally so id like a car that will be good as a daily driver, but have some power and handeling when i need it.Ive also heard the pre 91 240sx's have a different singel cam engine, is that true? How is the stock engine goin be on gas and what are my choices for a swap?Ive got about 8gs to spendAny help would be appreciated.

before anybody else has the chance to bash the crap out of you and tell you to search for your answers before posting dumb questions.. I will try to help a bit

My opinions/beliefs, etc...

Do you want front drive or rear drive? Figure that out first. The single cam KA24E is fine, but I think the twin cam KA24DE is better... so get a 91 and up if you plan to keep the stock engine. If you swap it obviously doesn't make a ton of difference.Stock engine is like 22-27 mpg ish???Lots of choices for more power if you wish... NA KA, KA-T, CA18det, SR20det (most popular), RB20det, RB25det, RB26dett, and if you got even more creative.. 1jz-gte, 2jz-gte, LS1, VG30dett, etc... Do a search on the engines.. there are a million threads talking about engine swaps.. you can't miss them. $8 grand should be plenty for the car and engine swap total depending on what you choose to do.

Good luck!!!

89 and 90 models came with the single cam ka24e. my stock ka24e gets about 400 miles to the tank, and is currently at over 190k miles. ive heard of many ka's running well beyond 200k. as for swap choices, you can put in a sr20det from the japanese silvias with little modification, or a ca18det from the early silvias. you can put in a few of the rb series skyline engines with some modification. and now i know of a bunch of places selling kits to fit smallblock v8s. you can pick up a 91-93 s13 for around $2000, so you would have lots of money to mod.

good luck with the car search

that seems really expensive...but on the other hand it only has 55k miles. You dont need a low mileage engine if your just gonna swap the engine

keep that car on tab but keep searching. you may find a car with more or less mods for cheaper. plus, if you get the 240 you can come back with all your questions and most ppl will be helpful. and you'll get most of tha jokes.

^^^^ i believe so

but on a side note

that 240 seems a bit much, dont wory about miles if you want to swap, even if it is down the road a little ways, a GSR IMO is a more logical car for a DD, but IMO a 240 would be better for the "power and handling when i need it" that you talk about

i think you need to do your own INDEPTH research on each car, their capabilites, options, and everything that interestes you on teh cars.
