Hi all,

I just got a replacement for the passenger side mirror for my 95 Q. I am all thumbs when it comes to working on cars. Can I remove the old body and install the replacement without causing too much damage?

Reason I am making the replacement is that the side mirror was never electrically adjustable from day 1 (late 2002) and about two weeks ago I found whole body (mirror, casing motor everything) on the floor next to my car...

If someone can give me some help that'd be awesome. Thanks all!

Also how long does this take?

Thanks once again

Danny

I believe you have to take the door panel off in order to remove that little piece that goes over the A-pillar. Then the mirror should come off with a few screws and the power mirror wire can be unplugged from the harness.

Where did you get the mirror from and how much? I have to buy a new passenger mirror for my Green 95 Q. If I can get it soon, I'll do the project and then take pics and walk you through it step by step.

I bought it from a guy at on Ebay. Cost me $90 with S/H. I think he just parted one car and sold it bit by bit and I think I bought the one and only side mirror.

Here is his other auction, but mind you it is for the driver side mirror, and although the car looks green in the picture, it is the dark metallic blue color in reality.

If the front panel needs to be removed, maybe this can help. It seems tricky to me but maybe you are braver than me:
