Well, for a quick description. I went to start my car up for as I do every 3 days whiel she is off the road getting all the parts thrown at it. Well, I did that, and blipped the throttle to about 1-2k for split seconds about 3 times. When I go to shut her off, I hear a pop. I went to start her and nothing

Now, here is what happens, The starter is fine as I had it tested at advanced and also picked up a new one, installed it and still doesnt work. The starters you can hear engage and start to twirl away. It seems to engage the flywheel as the engine does jerk ever so slightly but, nothing. The starter just twirls away by itself not enaging a thing. I checked the teeth on the flywheel, and it seems they are not stripped. If you want pics, let me know.

Also, if I get a flat head screwdriver, I can turn the flywheel which turns the water pump/belts/etc.

But, I just want to get this fixed as the car is for sale (which I made mention to in my for sale posts). I need help, and I need help asap!!

Thanks

hmm.. that twirling sound... mine made that when I finally went to start my car after I got a rebuilt motor in it.. turns out that I had my distributor off a few teeth and it wasn't doing it's thing. Did your ecu ever give you any codes?

Don't think so about what? What I said? What does your ECU say? It might tell you what the general problem is. Check all of your fuses...if you heard something go pop, it could have been a fuse or relay maybe.

No, pretty much dont know how to check the ecu code. I know where the ecu is located, but, I dont know the procedure and where the light is. I do have the fsm though, so I will look through that.

If anyone sees this... If I have a bad connection to my starter and it's hindering the vehicle from starting... could i just easily roll backward down a hill and pop the clutch.. would it start if everything else was working properly???
