need help car wont start.

Anyways my friend just bought a 89 s13 today drove it for 5 minutes turn it off and now it wont start. it has a new battery too, what should i do? what could be the problem? tried to jump start it and still wont start, and push start it still wont start. any ideas??

Take it back to who ever he bought it from---or find out which one is the problem--Fuel or spark--Has to be one of them.

If you could't hear the engine turn when you jumped the car before it could be the starter. If the engine turned and won't start (and the fuel and spark is fine) check the plug from ignition to distributor, check the Mass Air Flow sensor plug next to Air Filter box.

got a friend who is a mechanic to look at it but he didnt have tools needed so wasnt able to really look at it. and not enough money to get it towed to a shop. just need to know what could be the problem so i could try a solve it tomorrow.

it will turn, checked the MAF sensor it is connected, i will check the starter and the plug from the distributer tomorrow. thanks for the help , anything else i should check? trying to make a list of what to check for tomorrow.
