Hey everyone this is my first post and I desperately need help. I hit a curb going about 20mph on the right side. It was a hard hit, and at first I thought that the tire popped, but all I could see was a gash in the wheel but no other visible damage. Soon when my car would reach 60mph and higher on the freeway, my car started to sway. There is a vibration coming from what feels like the front left wheel and at 60mph the car starts to sway from left to right. Not so much that I can't control it, but enough to make me consider changing cars. I love my G very much and would absolutely hate to trade it in, but this problem is getting frustrating. I have taken it to the Infiniti dealer and so far they have replaced
1. Front Left and Right spindles
2. Front left and right lower control arms
3. Rear crossmember
4. Front crossmember
5. Rack and pinion

The dealership finally gave up and told me that the front right camber was off -1.5 and there was no factory adjustment for it. I think at this point, the only thing to change would maybe be the upper control arm. Considering getting an aftermarket one so I can adjust the camber.

Please anyone that can give me any help or know any reliable G35 mechanic in the Orange County area... I would be extremely thankful.

Camber should not be that off on a factory ride height g35. If so, then the upper control arm is jacked up. The other problem you have is the wheel is also probably bent, which is causing your vibrations.

I tried a set of XXR 006 18's for about 3 weeks and it made the vibration worse. Then the dealership tried some 19" G37 coupe rims and less vibrations then the XXR's but same vibration as stock 18's. So now I have my stock ones back on. Also forgot to mention that the front left wheel bearing was replaced with no difference.

upper control arm then. if swapping the wheels didnt fix it, then Red_Det is probably right.

I am curious if you figured out what was causing your problem? I just got new tires put on my car and I am having a similar swaying problem. I am almost scared to drive my car and the guy who put the tires on seems clueless? Thanks

I recently had new tires put on my 2004 G35 coupe. Now I am having problems with my car swaying, especially when I get up to about 45-50Mph or more. It is also pulling to the right when I brake. The tire light keeps coming on as well. I took it back in to get the shop that put the tires on to check it out and they were completely clueless. Another thing, the slip light has come on several times and if anyone is familiar with this they know that it also slows you down. If you are going 55Mph it slows you to about 20Mph. I'm starting to get a little worried because the steering is off. I did not have one problem before I got these tires put on. I did get a cheaper tire at the recommendation of the owner of the tire shop and against my better judgement. However, they are the same size as before so I can't imagine that it would be the tires.

One other thing, the VDC light came on once but only once. Any help would be appreciated. I am going back in tomorrow to try to get them to do something about it. I am thinking about making them take those tires off and get the original tires that I had on there which is what i wanted to begin with. I would appreciate some feedback before I do that. Again, they just keep saying they can't imagine why this is happening. I am wondering if they may not be balanced correctly? There is obviously a traction problem and the swaying seems like it could be very dangerous. I have been driving a lot slower than normal.

Thanks!!!
