Check the spark plugs, MAF sensor, Intake leak/Vacuum leaks and any intake valve deposits (Try a fuel injector cleaner such as Redline S1).

Coolant temperature sensor. Tells the ecu how much fuel to put into the cylinder according to how cold or hot the motor is. Or it could be you Air idle control valve...

A bad CTS will usually cause it to idle very high when the signal goes low due to a bad CTS the ecu thinks its like -40 out so it runs pig rich to warm it up. I would check for intake / vacuum leaks (carb cleaner on the lines, if you here the idle change / bog the leak sucked the cleaner in and made it hiccup"

Could be an o2 sensor too

Plugs is a good idea, so is charging the battery, cleaning the maf (maf cleaner only), cleaning the IAC, throttle body, and checking the ignition timing. Full tune up, and seafoam job
