My car is running rich after i installed the turbonetics turbo kit for an s14.My A/F meter is reading 10.8. I have new o2 sensors, coolant temp sensor,IACV-acc valve, cleaned my maf and the car still runs rich. The turbo kit comes with intercooler, turbo, and 370 injectors. The spark plugs turns black after 5 minutes if idling. I still have stock fuel pump and i don't have any fuel management. I need some advise please. Thanks

You need some sort of fuel management to compensate for the 370cc injectors. The ECU still thinks you have stock injectors so the injector pulsewidths are way too long. An E-Manage or S-AFC would work. you can go with a retuned ECU from Enthalpy of JWT as well. Or if money is really tight, you can go back to the stock injectors with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. But you won't be able to boost more than 6-7 psi safely.

Yeah you need management. I suggest a SAFC-II since its easier to tune than an emanage and doesnt take a month as a tuned ECU does.

Also get it dyno tuned at a shop, it will be well worth it! My A/F reads 11.4 almost all around (11.5 is perfect)

And get a Walbro 255 fuel pump. They are only $90 bucks. Marty T from Injected Performance is the man to contact. They have a thread in the Advertiser Specials on the forum.

^^ I also bought my black SAFC-II from him for around $260 shipped

Is SAFC-II and upgraded fuel pump all i need? Can a stock FPR handle walbro fuel pump?I can buy those two for now but for the tuned ECU hasto wait or do i need all three to work.My goal is around 250whp with stock internals. Thanks for a quick reply Bosrudorfer and C-KwiK

If your fuel pump is in good working order, then you probably won't need an upgraded fuel pump. The factory pump, is more than adequate for 370's and I've actually seen them handle 525cc injectors. The factory FPR should be fine for either pump as long as it's working properly. I'd imagine if you are able to idle at all, the FPR is in good shape.

Worse case scenario, you can replace marginal parts later. But with any DIY install of fuel management, keep your ears open for detonation. And if you hear any, back off the throttle.
