I have a SR T25 turbo on my CA. Yesterday I was on the freeway cruising when I exited and started to notice my cars not pulling. The turbo will spool its heart out but my car goes no where. I look at my gauge and it shows 4-5 PSI. Im to be at 6 right?

Checked......PipingHosesVacuumTurbo

When i checked the turbo I had minimal shaft play but still spins freely. Should still be good right? Then i noticed one thing. The two bolts for the wastegate are missing and my wastegate was just hanging by the rod. Is this the problem. If the wastegate is not bolted it will cause the turbo to not function right?...I would just put two botls in and find out but I dont know what size. What other issued might I have? Thanks.

Yeh the wastegate needs to be bolted down or else the flapper can open up and not let the boost build.

I do not see where it would hurt it but you need to get it bolted up so it will build boost like it is supposed to.

the waste gate isnt what I would be worried about. dumping excess fuel into the engine is what I would be more concerned with.

bolting it back up(assuming the w/g is still good) and it should be good.

PS isnt the stock spring 8 or 10 psi atleast?

7 PSI stock.

OP..Get that thing bolted on asap to avoid freak damage as CA's are prone to unexplanable stuff. haha

IIRC the bolts are both M6 x 12mm long. Get 10mm long to be safe.
