my car is a 95 240sx SE 5 speed with ABS. i bought my car at the end of december. since then i have filled the master cylinder up 3 times. when i press the brake pedal it sinks almost all the way to the floor, so i jacked the car up checked all the lines and i still can't find a leak. so i bought a new master cylinder. my only question is once i change the master cylinder, how do i bleed the brakes? do i start with the rear passenger side, then rear driver, then front passenger, then front driver?

thanks billy

you could probably search and find this but you are correct for bleeding you can use a friend to help you bleed or use speed bleaders

Where are you checking for leaks?? Run the entire length of the lines and check not just attaching areas like calipers and the such.

well when i checked the lines, my car was sitting for about 6 hours. i checked it today when i got home, and started to do the master cylinder. i noticed the rear passenger caliper was leaking BAD. so i returned the master cylinder and and ordered a new caliper. thanks for the help though guys.

Yes you are correct that is the proper sequence to bleed your brakes. If your car were jdm it would be rear left rear right front left front right. You always start with the rear farthest away from the master cyl. I assume you know that you have to bench bleed a new master cyl before you connect it to your booster?
