Well to start off I have a 1993 240sx with a KA24DE. Im having a problem

The car doesnt not turn on and I has told it was the maf. I replaced it and nothing still didnt turn on. I put a brand new tps calibrated, new oil filter, sprk plugs, dizzy cap and rotor, and oil change. The oil had gas in it and a lot of it. Well everything was put back together car ran fine for rest of night no smoke just had a weird noise could have been a vacuum leak. The next day i started it the car didnt want to turn on gave it a ll but of gas and it did turn on. Going down the road the rpm were bouncing it turned off completely turned it back on and there was a lot of smoke and the noise it was making was louder. Can it be I messed up the pistons or i just need new injectors.... Need help before tomorrow morning so I wont have to pay a tow truck and then the mechanic to tell me something simple. Thanks in Advance

sounds like a torn injector o ring. pull the fuel rail with the injectors still attatched, turn the key to the run position and look for the leaking injector.

thats what makes me think there is a torn injector o ring. the ring is leaking fuel anytime there is pressure in the system. its leaking so much that gasoline is washing past your rings into your oil. its pooling in the cyl making it hard to start unless your foot is on the gas.

Thanks for the info. The first injector has a torn o-ring that was replaced. Turned on the car it fired up perfectly idling fine I decided to go for a drive around the block but the car will die out at full stops came back home and the spark plugs were fried. I bought them on sunday!

dont be surprised if it takes you a few tries to get that o ring set correctly. they are known for giving trouble a day or three after you install them. i use engine assembly lube to lube them with before i install them. you will want to change your oil a few times too to get the fuel out.

Don't put off changing the oil! Thin gas-diluted oil = no protection, you will spin a bearing.

Very shortly after rebuilding my motor I had the same experience your having. I fixed the torn o-ring and changed the oil a few times. Then I jumped in it and drove it from New Orleans, LA to Cleveland, OH, roughly 1200mi. When i got to Ohio I changed the oil and drove it around town for a few days, changed the oil again, and drove it back. One shot, non stop, 1200mi. the car now has 15,000 and its in great condition. Just because you have gas in the oil dosent mean the motor is blown. I would change the o-ring and check the injector until your sure its fixed, if your still having problems getting it started you need to air out the cyl's by removing the spark plugs. you can pump the gas out of the cyl with the stem and sprayer from a spray bottle like windex. if you find you need to do this then it wont hurt to put a capfull of oil in the cyl and turn the motor by hand after you get the gas out. then change the oil and let it idle, then change it again, repeat 4 or 5 times or unitl you cannot smell gas in the oil. then, after all thats done, if your still worried about the condition of your motor, do a compression test.
