Need Help badly

So i went out and bought a 90 300zx n/a for my little brother since he wanted one every since i got mine. I ended up getting burnt on this car very badly and i can not even get it to run after having it for only 2 weeks. When i got it, it seemed to run just fine and not to many probs but it did leak gas and its alittle low on hp it feels like but im thinking the gas tank is pressuresed and that is causing it to not get enought gas to run right. Now the big prob im having is that the battery keep dying so he tryed to jump it off and hooked up the jumper cables up wrong and fryed something and now i can not get any power to the car at ALL i mean no lights no dash or interior lights what did he fry when he hooked them up like that and yes i already have went out and bought a new battery and still no power.

Id start by checking ur fuses

alright any idea what fuse might of went?

check the fuses next to the battery first

Right infront of the battery, there's a little cover about 4"x1.5" with some markings on it, there will be a big main fuse (blue? I think). See if it's blown. Those are the bigger fuses on a Z and should blow if he jumped it backwards.

alright sweet ill go out there tomorrow since im off for once and check it out. If that returns power would the leaking gas tank cause my car to run really crappy? Im kind of worrired there is sometime wrong with the engine thats why im asking.

Can you see the gas leaking/puddling or do you just smell gas. I can smell gas sometimes in the cockpit of mine but i cannot find any evidence anywhere under the car or on the body. My car runs reasonably well eventhough it has 198+K miles.

ok got the gas tank fixed and also got power back into the car but now im still back were i was with it not running so i made a new post for help check out and tell me what you think

mine did the same thing.. check the lines closest to the driver side on top.. some ppl put s*** clamps on them n they leak resulting in gas smell in the cockpit! just as soon as u run it n smell gas, pop the hood n follow ur nose, u will figure it out...
