So I got my car back from the shop about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine, not as fast as I would like but fine. Then the next weekend I got my front mount and installed it that weekend. Then the car wouldn't idle at all and every time I put it in neutral it would just die. So I was thinking that it had something to do with the wastegate hose (because the greddy kit doesnt come with a nipple to put it on) So after that I didnt drive it and was just waiting to put the s13 face on. Will I got that done just this last week and got to drive the car but as I was driving, I notice that the car wasn't boosting. Like right when the boost was sopused' to kick in it didnt it would just bog and it would barely go all the way to redline.

About two nights ago I went to take my friend home and right before I did I adjusted my bov and messed with some vacuum lines and the cars idle was fine but still wasnt boosting.

Tonight I went to go show some friends my car but on the way there my car starting losing power so I pulled over and made sure nothing came loose but I couldnt find anything so I just started to head home instead but my car was making no power and I could barely get it over 5 mph in first. 2nd gear was the same no power and 3rd got a little better but still barely any power

But as I got it in 4th it would go a little better and I could actually keep up with the other drivers on the road. As I got home I opened the hood to see what might be wrong but couldnt find anything. Then as I looked down at the turbo I saw it glowing bright red ( like if you put steel in a fire place bright red)

So now the car doesn't really drive and the trubo might be gone but when I got it up to 4th I could hear it spooling so im not sure.

Does anyone have any ideas whats going on with my engine.

You sound like you have major vacuum leaks and your hoses are completely incorrect. Hopefully you can figure out how they are supposed to be.

So why do you think the turbo would heat up like that and turn red.

Check your oil fittings that run to the turbo. Check your timing also. Sounds like either your turbo is being starved of oil (which would cause massive smoking) or your timing is completely out of wack.

When my T3/T04E died "due to oil starvation, my fault" it did this weird thing where it would spin pretty freely until it hit the vac/boost 0in/hg threshold range. Then it would making a slight surging noise and not make any boost in first or second, but in thirde it would finally brake the boost threshold and spool up fine. Sounds similar to your problem I think. Probably a Dead Turbo. :(

I dunno about the rest of your problem.. but the car suddenly loosing power sounds to me like a problem with intercooler pipes.. I would check over all the couplings for this part of the problem.

There should be no reason imaginable that the turbo thats barely running would be bright red. Unless all the exhaust gas is going into the turbo and not being released properly at all. Exhaust manifolds can turn red under high stress conditions but your turbo and setup just sound like they are completely messed up.

If I had to make my longshot guess I would say that your exhaust camshaft timing is off and is releasing early or late, thus causing an improper release of the exhaust gas. This would lead to very erratic boost, and a possible build up of heat in the the turbo. It is very hard to diagnose your problem over the internet.

So if that is the problem how would I go by fixing it. Do you think you could help me out or point me in the right direction to getting this fix.

And also what kind of damage do you think my motor has taken? Is it gone and should I be looking into getting a new one or rebuild. and is the turbo gone.

I really cannot help you since there could be one or many things wrong that I cannot diagnose over the internet. Download the FSM and check with that to see what you find, or meet up with someone knowledgeable in your area. Lastly you "could" take it to a mechanic, and send your turbo to a rebuild place to see what they make of it.
