need help asap

I did a motor swap over the weekend put in a z24 motor into a 87 d21 . Does anyone know where the wire on the back of the coil runs to? Its unplugged and I cant figure out where it goes. Thanks in advance

Coil? Mine has 2 coils. What did the engine come out of? Is it TBI?

Yeah its out of a 87. Has two coils. On the coil closest to the headlight there is a wiring harness that come out of it. And on the end of it looks like what you would use as a ground but not sure. The truck wont start though and that's the only thing not connected and I can figure out where its supposed to go

I see nothing that looks like a separate ground on mine. The coil plugs into the ignition module, mounted to the same bracket, then the module plugs into the main harness.

I dont know how to post pictures on here. But yes it come out of coil plugs into module then the wires that plug into that. Its a black and pink. Black white. And all.black need to know where those go to. I follow ot down and it has the wire that plugs into the distributor on the same harness

This is the rearward coil which I believe is the intake. Mine has the 2 black and 2 blue wires in the harness.

The wire that the plug for the distributor comes out of. Can you tell me where it runs to once it passes the point where it separates for the distributor

I have a single black wire coming out of the bottom of my distib that goes to the low pressure cutoff switch for the AC. The harness from the distrib runs across the front of the engine into a connector over on the intake manifold side.

You can see the single wire here and the cover plate for the harness. The harness wraps around the shaft and then crosses in front of the valve cover.

Ok yeah the single black wire runs into a harness that connects to the ignition module. I need to know where that harness runs to on the opposite end. Not the end to the ignition module. If that makes any sense
