need help ASAP

hey everyone, im fairly new to this site. this is my first post so bare with me.I recently bought a 92 240 sx (SE) for $600, it needed some work and i decided to tackle it as a project. I ordered a new door cause the old one had stupid rust and dents, so i get to new one mounted, shuts and opens fine. BUT! the wiring harnesses are diffrent. (Both blue and white harnesses) so i decide to try and splice the wires together, most wires have another wire to match up except for one orange wire and 3 black ones (assuming they are ground) i tried the power and my window wont move. it is stuck down and its winter here in canada and this just wont work. so i either need someone to tell me how to get the window up as a temp fix or tell me how to wire a 91 door to a 92 car! please! thanks in advance.-Jeff

why didnt you just use the harness that was in your door to begin with?

its not a questions of why i didnt do something, its a question of how i can resolve what i have already begun. I just need to know what wires to splice together and i am assuming that 2 wires are gonna be going to one because there are a couple left overs. HELP PLEASE

Assuming you still have your old door, remove the harness, rip out whatever nonsense you have going on with your new door, install the CORRECT harness, solder wires and you are good to go.Other than that check the fsm wiring diagrams to the wiring in the door. Also make sure you are using a power door to begin with. I am assuming the car had power to begin with.

thats a great idea, im gonna do that when i get off work. and yes, its power to power, just total diffrent harnesses. thanks for the advice. -Jef
