Need HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!

My problem is my J30. The Automatic check light goes on and off while i am driving. When it turns off, the car jerks when i am breaking or slowing down. Can anybody give me an idea on what to check. I took it to a shop but they told me to bring it back when it stays on. Any help will be appreciated.thanks

what year is your car ?

The ECU keeps the history of the error codes so they can easily pull it out. Looks like the shop sucks. The code will tell exactly where the computer expedience problems
