My stock License plate lights do not fit flush when installed into the ings2 rear bumper. Im trying to come up with solutions for this problem but havent found any. Has anybody else run into this problem? This is the only issue that is holding the body shop up. I want to get my car back on the road. Im thinking of using some generic square led lights in a shallow fitting like this http://www.streetglow.com/Catalog/LED-Pods any ideas?

To my knowledge, reverse lights can be any rearfacing (white) light. You don't have to reuse the stock light or stock location for that matter.

Some folks install auxillary backup lights to aid in visibility, especially when backing up to trailers and such.

Also, the backup light is suppose to alert others that you are backing up, but its main job is to light up the area behind the car so you can see what is there.

Those LED lights you posted should work, but they look like they would be more difficult to mount than the stock lights. As far as mounting flush, can you use the rear turn signal light housing to house the back up lights???

edit: There is nothing that says you have to have two reverse lights either. Lookj at the early MINIs. They only had one light center located on the lower rear bumper. Could that be a possibility as well, mounting one light low on the bumper?
