Well my car has been under the weather latley. I just replaced the exhaust manifold not too long ago and got it all started and it idles funny, drives horrible. i've posted about this already but here's the deal. When I hit boost it's like i'm getting full boost but not hardly any of the power. at first i thought severe boost leak. I check and I can't find anything leaking anywhere. at idle it seems to have way to much fuel. It lopes like and revs funky. smells rich so i would guess it's getting way way too much fuel. the maf seems to be fine. and when the key is turned to run the safc reads lots of air flow. and it steadily rises and the fans are on but it says it's getting more and more and more air don't know why. then just bogs down and dies. as if too much fuel. looking for advice guys thanks! setup is precision sc34 top mount t3, Z3s MAF, tial 38mm waste, tial BOV thanks guysChris

What are your afc settings?

unsure of exact numbers but the car's been running well for about a year now till now. safc setting aren't this issue i believe. but i'm not sure why it would be reading almost 60% air flow with the key on run. It used to always sit at 1 or 2 % with accessories turned on. no motor.

You said you just had a new manifold installed, made sure all the gaskets are in place and tightly in place?

But is your setup a yr old with the afc also or did your setup follow after your afc? Sounds like a maf problem or your wiring at the ecu is loose. Definitely look for leaks at the manifold + maf.

The setup is a year old with the safc. only big new peice is a cheap manifold. manifold is same design as old manifold. Seems that most of the gaskets are good. the z32 maf is reading upwards of 60% with the key at run. has a hard time staying running when i start it now. way to much fuel... does that sounds like a bad MAf? and would it cause all this including not fleeling boost at all when its hitting, almost as if boost leak?

Try putting the old one on and see what happens. Since the prob started when you put the new manifold on.

no this happened right before manifold. old one was leaking hardcore and one night the whole car started acting up similar to what's going on now. manifold shouldn't be the issue. seems like severe boost leak i thought at first. and now it seems to be maf, but still unsure trying to get all the help/ideas i can.

Well make a boost leak detector and get an air compressor and put the system under some pressure. Just looking isnt realy gonna do it while the engine is on. Just too much other noise. Is the ecu saying its the maf??? If so go to the junkyard and pull a few and take em home and put them on.

no it's not saying it is the MAf but the SAFC is saying it's at 60% airflow just when the key is at run. no motor running. it didn't use to read that. i mean i've never gotten the car up past 60% airflow when shifting high. so I'm gonna try another Z32 mass air. friend has some at his shop so he's gonna let me borrow one to see if it does anything. i'm sure i'm gonna just have to find the leak and make a detector. . it really sucks having her under the weather i miss driving her lol

i say check ur safc settings or get some new settings since u have upgraded air flow by installing a bigger better flowing manifold

i checked the settings. it's gotta be something else cause the manifold is nearly identical.i borrowed a z32 mass air to see if that's the case but the one i got had 5 prongs, mine has 4 prongs out of 6 slots. i thought this was correct but can't figure out why? this is the one that i borrowed. can any tell me what it's from?

this is the one idk is

and this is mine that's in the car now. ---that is z32 right?
