Need help alternator?????????

the alternator i got is not fitting the bracket on the alternator is about an inch too short to mount onto the engine why is this???

do i have the wrong alternator

also bought from someone on this site was told it was for a ca18det did not have one on my engine so do not know how its suppose to look

Probably a KA alternator. Any part numbers on the unit?

part numbers are all scratched cant make them out
