My car is kicking codes for the egr valve & a knock sensor. My mechanic thinks egr might be clogged and is setting off knock sensor and maybe by doing a full fuel system cleaning(injectors, through gas tank, & through intake) will blow out anything in egr and fix both codes. My acceleration is a little sluggish sometimes unless i step on gas more, when starting rpm's drop low before returning to normal idle, and gas mileage is only about 13 mpg. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

KS codes come from KS failing the startup test proceedure. Replace both KS sensors and clean egr.

You don't mention any previoius suel sytem nor intake maintenance., nor mileage.

If you pull your plenum, you will find it is soiled on the interior and the EGR tube therein is close to being clogged. Be sure to have all gaskets on hand.
