need help - 89 240 fb won't start

i can't figure this out. my car won't start. i took it downtown for some chinese food. when i got back i parked it and when i finished eating i was going for a drive when my car wouldn't start. i checked all the fuses, battery terminals, and i even banged on the starter. i know the battery isn't dead, and everything else works: radio, wipers, lights, etc. please help. it's probably something very simple. there is a lot i don't know about cars, so thanks for any advice. hopefully i can gain some experience from this forum. -charlie

try jump starting it. does it turn over? get a multimeter. they are chaep. disconnect harness at starter and check for 12v+

ahhh, it's the starter. i did a push start down a hill and drove it to the garage. thanks
