Need help: 1987 Nissan D21 dual ignition,

I am new to this forum and not sure if I am in the right one but need advice about my truck. My problem is as follows: It will only run on 4 spark plugs at a time but by changing the distributor coil input wire, I can run the opposite four intake side or exhaust side spark plugs. I have replaced: spark plugs, spark plug wires, new distributor, new distributor cap and rotor. Coils check out OK. Unable to test power transistors to the coils. Unable to test the power transistor harness due to different configuration on electrical connectors from truck harness. Also have changed out the ECC unit under the passenger seat to no avail. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am retired and need to run this truck for odd jobs.

not sure, what the problem might be. you dont have any error codes do you?
