need help 01 sentra gxe po135

hello all, I just recently bought a 2001 sentra gxe 1.8 with 88k miles on it for my daughter and she put about 9k mile on it. We have had nothing but problems with it.

I had to replace both cats and one sensor but it now gives me a P0135 code and a cylinder 1 misfire.....and it idles kind of rough after you are on the road, and a broken dipstick..... I could use someones help. The mechanic we sent it to doesnt seem to know how to fix it, he just milks me for money. So I replaced the cats myself....

My daughter goes away to college and trying to avoid putting anymore money into this car for her since I now have a to pay for her tuition...HELP!!! Thanks

Seems like there was a common headgasket issue on the 1.8's. Any white smoke? Coolant consumption? That sort of thing?

no I have no white smoke or coolant consumption....my mechanic informed me that the engine is in good condition with good compression....
