Ok, I have a 91 and I just got in a set of JDM gauges w/o a harness. SO I go the the Jyard, got the harness and the USDM analog gauges (I have HUD) just in case. Now, neither one will work! They both make the fuel gauge go straight up, and the idle is at like 200 RPM and when I rev, it goes negative! None of the lights work, etc. Any ideas? I ahve to drive to work in like 3 hours!

Well, I got the turn signals to work on the USDM cluster. Nothing works tho, not even the clock.

buy a wire tester and re-wire it. Mine was digital and I rewired it to analog (HUD doesn't work)

WHy and what? I have an analog cluster and about 15 people on here told me that would work. What would I rewire?

Rico,

I did swap in an analog cluster and harnes into my 89 from a 91. It worked perfectly so I'm guessing the problem could be the year of the cluster and harnes you got from the salvage yard or connectivity issue. I'm currently looking at my digital harnes and could see if enough pressure was used the connectors could be plugged into the main harnes crossed or even crossed connected on the back of the cluster. I have also read that clusters and possibly harneses from 92 and above do not match those used in 89 to 91. I cannot verify this but I have read this in several places for it to stick in my head.

Gene..

Well the harness clicks in jsut fine to the dash harness, but the cluster came from a 92 (the USDM one) so that is possible that they don't match. So how can I get my JDM gauges to work?

Ok, so I put my digital gauge cluster back in, and it all works. Is there any way to fet my JDM cluster to work properly?
