Hi Again:
I know of a person parting out a 98 Q that still has the front spindles and springs. I just pulled some trim pieces off it this past wknd. He is in Beach Park, so it's a little drive from Chicago, but his prices are dirt cheap if you pull the parts yourself. Just bring a set of strut spring compressors and snug them down as much as you can (you can rent them for free at your local auto parts place) floor jack and a jackstand (or two): undo the front spindle/strut assembly from the car and then carefully undo the top nut of the strut cartridge and viola, you have a set of OE springs. Might also grab the strut mounts and bearings if they are still in decent shape.
Search on craigslist under "Q45" and you will find him. There are still many other parts on this car left. Good luck and let me know if you need to have these springs installed as well. I have a wall mounted spring compressor so I can do this job no problem.
