Ok, the swap is about to begin. Now, I see a few people using two BOVs and some people using only one when they are installing the RB26DETT motor.

I am using ONE HKS SSQV BOV for the swap. I already bought a recirculation kit for it and a Y-fitting to convert the single recirculation line into two to vent back into the intakes. I have the HKS BOV located 8-12 inches from the intake manifold, with a weld-on 65mm flange. Isn't this feasible?

I ran over 10-11 pounds on my Turbocharged Maxima just fine with no apparent turbo blow-back (ie no fluttering) on the same BOV, and that being a 3.0 motor. And there are MANY WRXs, EVOs, SRT4s, etc with the same BOV running close to 20 lbs of boost. Am I good to go with this setup?

Thanks guys.

Also, while I am at it. What are those two lines that run off the top of the valve cover that go on the right side of the engine bay that people install aftermarket? All I see in some RB26DETT photos are two large stainless steel braided lines running from the two fittings on top of the valve cover to somewhere on the right side of the engine bay near the front. Thanks.

You don't need two BOV's. The stock RB26DETT uses two, but they really aren't necessary. I'm only using one on mine. (Greddy type R)

The plumbing on the valve covers are for crank case ventillation. Alot of people run catch cans on these to reduce the reintake of oils and blow by into combustion.

Thanks for the info. Did you use a recirculation kit or are you venting into the atmoshpere. If you are venting into the atmosphere, are you using a controller of some sort to keep the engine from dieing when shifting into neutral or applying the clutch while moving? Thanks again for the help.

Sorry I meant to say that I don't have my engine in yet. But I will be venting it back with some custom tubing.
