how do you access the foglight bulbs on a 1994 Q45, one is burnt out and i can't seem to access it. i was told to just reach up from the bottom of the bumper and get at it, but there's guards there blocking me from doing so, can anyone help please?

It is best to remove the splash tray while the car is on a lift and all becomes easier.

Even with the splash tray removed it's tough to get to, especially with my paws and stumpy fingers.

As an alternative- lay on your side in the snow and with thick leather gloves on try removing the the wavy-looking plastic insert next to the fog lens. Behind it you'll see screw(s) to remove which will allow you to take out the whole fog lamp assembly back into your warm home (and clean it up while it's out). Look at it carefully with a flashlight before you start to make sure you're removing the correct screws. You don't want to touch the one(s) that adjust the beam direction.

Once you have the assembly in hand changing the bulb is easy. The learning curve is now on your side. Do them both and upgrade to SilverStars. The second fog lamp assembly will only take you 10 minutes to remove and reinstall. Good luck.

Anyone who can remove the inboard reflectors without cracking one the first time deserves a prize.

ok, that's how it thought it was suppose to be done. but the screws are stripping when i turn a screwdriver in them, i think they're rusted in. i looked at the car on monday, and took it home on tuesday one week a couple days before we got a foot of snow, and i knew it was coming so i parked my 300zx, and bought this for winter. so i don't care about rust or anything. any other way at getting at the bulb without taking them out?

they have silverstar equivelents in them now, but one's burnt out, go fiqure

It sounds like you're trying to remove the correct ones (top and bottom screws) and not the middle one which is the adjustment screw. After spraying both with some penetrant, if you pull out on the lamp assembly with one hand while you're alternate backing out each screw they should come out and the assembly will pivot out of its holder.

It looks like you can also get to the backside of the fof lamp assembly by removing the wheel and wheel well liner. I've removed wheel well liners and it's a PITA. Try removing the two screws first. Good luck
