Ok here's my dilemma, I have the 10' 2.5s AC without fog lights, so I'm planning to installing a set. I have already searched for how to install the fog lights and what not, but my problem is I cannot find where to buy the fog light cover insert that goes on the bumper. If someone could post a link to a site I can buy it from it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

the part i need looks like this (picture from lavon_andy's install thread)
Image

Here's the link to lavon_andy's install thread post5778397.html?hilit=fog%20light%20inserts#p5778397
I've already tried asking the dealership but they said they're not allowed to sell specific parts from their parts catalog book.

cool thanks man. ive been searching everywhere as well and no luck also. i think i found out the name. its called a finisher for the front bumper. when finding pictures on google i see the right thing i'm looking for but its for a nissan versa. but when it shows the picture for the altima it just shows the fog light housing. i'm probably gonna have to go back to my dealership and talk to my service tech guy to see if he'll order me the part instead of talking to the parts guy.

I'd suggest just going to your local dealership if that option is available to you. They only cost about 7 bucks a pop from the stealership and it's a heck of a lot easier then trying to find them online.

yea I'm gonna try the dealership again. maybe the parts guy didnt understand me correctly on what i wanted to buy. i did shot an email over to courtesyparts.com about this they provided me a parts number for this item. the guy i was emailing also mentioned i would be able to get it through them for $4.25 for each piece, but lowest shipping was going to be $9.50. he confirmed it was the right part i wanted to look for. so to reiterate i'll check with the dealership again if not then i'll just be ordering from courtesyparts. thanks for your input guys.

on mynissanparts.com it says that part number is for w/o fog lamps.

Collision Catalog - Nissan
W/o fog lamps Left 2010 - 2011

Or did they label it wrong and the covers actually have a hole for the fog lamps?

yea i noticed that too on those websites, but i contacted courtesynissan.com about that same thing. i'll copy/paste my emails from them. email goes from bottom up.

Dear Hung,

Sounds like a plan. We usually hear horror stories about local dealerships.
It does help our business ::smirk::

We are actually a dealership, ourselves. We just happened to start a website
of our own, and it took off. So, we've come to see the business a bit
differently...as far as customer service is concerned.

Good luck.

Great, thanks very much for all your help. I have tried asking a parts guy at
my dealership a few weeks ago, and he mentioned that they were not allowed to
sell customers parts from their car part catalog book.
There must have been some miss communication between our conversation before.
I'll try the dealership option again to see if they will order me this part.
If they still say the same thing then I'll definitely shoot you another email
to order from you.
Thanks again.

Dear Hung,

What you're seeing in that image is going to be the cover that the Altima
would get if it did not have the fog lights. I know that's not what you're
after.

I've attached two pictures. One is a highlighted version of the picture that
you sent me. It shows you what you would get if you were to order the
62256(or 7)-ZX10B. The other is a screen capture of the process I go through
when I click on that part code in the diagram. It asks me to choose between
the ZX10A which is the cover that goes 'in place of' fog lamps so that there's
not just a hole. The other choice is the ZX10B which is what you have on your
vehicle now. It is further defined by the spec code LMPF5(fog lamps).

I looked for a dealership in your area, but was unable to find one within
driving distance. You might call one of the dealerships near you with that
part number and ask them to 'stock order' it. They'll want payment before
they order it for you. Otherwise, give us a call at the number listed below,
and we'll get it for you. There are plenty across the nation in the
Distribution Centers that we and other dealerships order from.

Hope to hear from you soon.

-Jimmy

I'm located in Chandler, Arizona. Is it possible for you to get a picture of
the piece from your store/warehouse? I searched on google as well as other
parts website and none of them show up a picture of the finisher; they list a
similar image you sent to me.

for example
http://www.nissanpartszone.com/componen ... -1750.html
this site shows the correct part number, but the diagram shows the bracket
housing.

Dear Hung,

Sorry about that one. I went through the email too quickly to pick up the
fact that it was a coupe. I know exactly what you're looking for. Thanks for
the picture as well. 62257-ZX10B is the part number for the Driver side
finisher piece that you snapped the photo of. 62256-ZX10B is the part number
for the Passenger side. Either one would only cost you $4.25 on our site.
Unfortunately, the lowest we can go on shipping is $9.50

If you can tell me where you're located, I may be able to look up the
availability of the part from dealers in your area. We want you to buy from
us, but, perhaps we can earn your business by using some common sense in this
situation (with the cost of shipping being greater than the cost of the part).

I'm looking for a specific part for the 2010 2.5s Altima Coupe. It is located
on the front bumper at the fog lights. This item is a black rectangular shaped
plastic that goes in front of the fog lights not the fog light housing. The
diagram you have listed on your site only shows for the 3.5 Altima which
already comes standard with said plastic part, and even then it is not listed
on the diagram. Please email me back as soon as possible with information on
this part. Thanks.

damnit!! well i got some good and bad news. the good news is the fog light inserts fit perfectly.
bad news is the spyder projector fog lights i got from autoanything.com
the wiring harness they gave me doesnt work with the OEM harness of the car.

it does come with its own switch, but i want it to be able to work with the stalk combo switch i got.
otherwise i'll be out 150 or so bucks if i dont use it.

i guess i should also mention i have a pair of ddm HID's on the way. should i not worry about the wiring till then,
and just go ahead with installing the fog lights in without the lights?

on second thought, maybe i could still install the wiring harness they gave me.
cause the spyder lights are halo projectors, so there's two separate power lines coming out.
i could just use their harness to power up the halos instead :D hopefully it doesnt need a complete circuit in order to use the halos
considering i wont be using the wires for the main fog light itself.

still wouldnt mind hearing some inputs of the question i had above

first off apologies for the late picture posting, had a busy day today and when i finally got home my computer was hit with a virus. so with out further ado.

as you can see on the second picture, there is a black cover in the back of the fog light. you remove the screws on either side and the cap comes off.
inside you'll find the bulb (blue and white wires) inside. the bulb number is H3 in case you were wondering.

To OP, i had the EXACT SAME problem with the fog covers!
I looked online & couldnt track them down.
Then went to dealership. Apparently, they dont sell the covers as 'coupe fog covers' but as 'sedan' covers. I went bak and forth with them bc they werent aware either. They were looking for the part under 'coupe' parts instead sedan.

These covers though are for the 10-11 AC's since they gotta new front w these models.

In terms of your wiring, i got the cheap ebay halo fogs but took a mad long break from getting anything installed bc of classes. I def post wen i get it all crackin

well as i said a few posts above, the wiring harness they gave me is different than the oem. the picture i just posted kind of shows it.
there's just a few wires coming out of it, instead of a wire attached to a plug/clip. the rest of the wires that are not pictured attaches to that, but can only be used with what they gave you.
product comes with a relay and a switch to turn on and off the fog lights which plugs into it.
assuming your prewired if you look at the oem wires on the car its an oval shape, as opposed to the spyders which is square.

oh also i found out with these spyders you dont need those plastic housing around the fog light either. so you have to remove them to be able to put it on.
going to have to make a run to my nearest hardware store to pick up some nuts and bolts so i can attach it to the bumper.

Sounds like your having pains with aftermarket fogs :(

I heart my local parts guy (not queerly) because he actually found my inserts without too much hassle when I did mine.

I went all OEM for fogs/switch and whatnot cause I really didn't want to mess with wiring headaches myself

yea just a tad bit, i think i got it all figured out though. dont really need the wiring harness the fog lights came with since i have my ddm hid's.
the hid's should fit into the oem harness. the only thing i'll need the spyder harness for is if i wanted to use the halo part of the fog lights. (which i might do just for kicks)
other than that its all smooth sailing from here.
