Okay, so I have two head units installed in my car now. The top unit is a dvd/radio player that I bought first without too much research. The second is some ebay/beijing unit that I installed where the storage bin is. They're both double din and I had to do some cutting away of the dash and made my own custom box/seat for the second HU (dvd, gps, bluetooth) to fit in. It works lovely and I'd post pics if I could figure out how.
I had theunit connected from the out of the rca to the in on the rca of the first HU but when the gps on the second hu talks it doesn't interrupt the first HU or talk over what's going on through the main speaks, I have to switch from radio or dvd to the AV to hear it.
I wanted to splice the speaker wires of the second HU to the first so they can work at the same time when the gps wants to talk or the BT use the phone. i tried that for the front left and right positive and negative wires but I got a horrible noise and if I raised the volume on the first or second HU it got even worse no matter what was coming through on the HU's.
Any suggestions on how to splice or what I can do to get both HU's on the main speakers at the same time??
