i'm thinking of buying a performance chip on ebay for my 2006 2.5 Altima. It supposedly saves gas as well as increase h.p. Anyone know if this type of chip is reliable and if it damages the engine in any way.

those things are junk, don't buy it. it's not like manufacturers left an extra 25 hp in the engine waiting to be unleashed by a chip that you can buy on ebay. but it's your car...

Hey thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Is there any way to somewhat increase the h.p other than the chip?

the stillen qr-pro is good for balancing and getting the last bit out of your motor. i have one and it's great. you can even shut it off if the wife or kids get in to drive.

Do you think the QR-Pro is worth the price. Also could you actually feel any change?
