Does anyone here have experienced or know if Megan coilover they just released for 1997-2001 FGY33 any good ?

I am mostly concern about the ride quality. I had JIC and it was too stiff for everyday driving. Thanks

Coilovers are by definition very stiff, if the others were too stiff I wouldn't want to gamble another grand that these are any softer. I know alot of people that though the KYB SR Specials were too stiff, I believe that they would be too if you lived on tough roads. At least these seem adjustable, but you need "amateur" mechanic experience according to their site, so not like you can soften them up with the click. I have ridden in a few cars with coilovers, I don't personally think anyof them were good for day to day commute and grocery getting....do you still have the original springs? You might go for a compromise and use the Espelier springs and the KYB SR Specials, you will not save any money really as the last I heard Memoryfab was getting $600 for the shocks and not sure but I'm sure the springs will run you but $300 is probably the price range.

You gotta ask yourself, if this is really a daily driver can you go for full on high performance. Also, where do you live? I live in the SF Bay Area where we see no snow and don't salt or sand roads, plus I have an X-Terra I take in rain. If your back east or mid-west where roads are horrible for 1/2 the year, I'd dial it back. Unfortunately we have very few easy options with our Q's.

Thanks for the link. I will continue to do little more research before I buy them.

I need to replace the front struts soon and I also wanted to buy the camber plate to help minimize wear on my 20" tires.

I thought the Megan would be cheeper over all then buying the OEM shock inserts and the camber plate.

Since the MEGAN has 8k rate springs in the front not like JIC that has 12k which is way too stiff for everyday 30 min. driving. lol

Your probabaly right, if you were to buy new shocks/struts and springs from IOS (which would be cheapest) then for sure you be more then these. But you could also for about the same $$ do KYB SR Specials and new Tein or Esplier springs....I did the Tein/KYB combo with 19" rims about 4 years ago and love them.
