Need exterra v6 motor

I’m desperately trying to find a motor for my sis’s exterra, or advise. She’s got dead cylinder,
Broken compression ring I suspect. Used motors seem overly expensive. So I need a trick method of fixing it . Or any susgestion on where to find a good used 08 v6.
Any thoughts?

got a reputable wrecking yard near by with hotline service? Most yards should be able to source an engine...if they don't have it, they can get it. I'd expect a decent used 4.0 would be in the $1-1.5k range.
