Looking to buy a 240. Need advice

Hey, I am new to the car scene, and even newer to the 240sx. They're such a awesome car and I will not accept owning any other vehicle. I am going to look at one tomorrow that is Automatic with 157k on the engine. The car is completely stock, in excellent condition, and even better, it is owned by a 70-year old lady!! She wants $3000 for it, which compared to most 240sx's I've seen is UNBELIEVABLE PRICING!
However, there is no way this car is going to last extremely long. So I was wondering, how much would it cost to put a new engine in it (stock KA, or sr20det, either one) and convert it to manual transmission. Im not saying I would do it right away. I am not a mechanic and I do not have a garage in order to do this, so It would be done professionally. Can anyone give me an idea of what the price range would be for anything. And any other tips, ideas, or experiences you had would be greatly appreciated. I've seen many people on these forums know what they're talking about, so I am hoping you guys can offer some help into hopefully making a good looking, fun driving, 240sx! Thanks!

My car is at 241,xxx miles original engine. Don't expect the 157k or auto transmission to go out anytime soon.

As for manual swap, if you can do it yourself it will about around $400-$500, and a shop will be $900-1000 more for labor. Your best bet is to find a local 240sx owner who has done it before and have him help you for a lot less.

Depending on the condition of the ka that mileage is probably fine. Id probably just 5 speed swap it and drive it.
