I'm piecing together all of the parts that I need for my SR swap and I'm stuck between two exhaust systems.

The cat-back exhaust will be used with a Megan turbo elbow, Megan downpipe with flex section, and Megan test-pipe.

First:HKS Hi-Power designed for the SR20DET with 85 mm piping and optional removable silencer. This is roughly 3 and 1/3" piping.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHxQRPeT ... dRYsa2zXaE

The Good:- free-flowing with great power gains - non-ricy sound- comes with optional silencer that can be removed

The Bad:- 3 1/3" piping; I don't know how loud it will be, even on the SR (this will also serve as my DD, and I plan to keep my hearing for as long as possible)- non-stock looking; will attract attention

Second:Blitz Realize TT with 75.6 mm piping which is 3"http://media.putfile.com/Kouki...T-Vid

The Good:- low-profile; looks stock- pretty quiet

The Bad:- In the muffler, there is a permanent silenser which is just piping that is about 2", which will cause a little turbulence - There is a 90 degree bend before exhaust enters muffler which is more of a restriction

I can get each for about the same price, and I'm not looking at getting anything other than these.

Anyone have any of these systems? I'm looking to by within the next two days.

I keep checking YouTube for videos, but each one sounds different.

I know your not interested in any other systems, but what's wrong with the BRM exhaust system?

Apex Megaphone, if you can find it. It's suppose to be really quiet and doesn't really attract attention. I've heard some people say it's similar to the Apex world sport.

I have the HKS Hi Power and I LOVE it. Absolutely not a single complaint against it sounds, looks, or in any other category. The only minor problem I have is the can looks absolutely huge when you take it out of the box. Tucked under the chassis it looks 19832409218340898230940x better though.

Thanks guys, but I am getting an amazing deal for each of these systems. I have connections for these for under $250 shipped each.

There is no way that I'll spend $700 on a new system.

I don't want a system that can be heard from miles away. I know once the engine is in with the exhaust components, it won't be stealthy, but it can't be obnoxious, sound wise and appearance wise.

Apexi Single: Looks way too huge.

BRM: Great sound, but out of my price range.

Buddy Club: LOUD from the videos I saw.

Yup, I'm not into the whole coffee can look, but just as long as it's tucked and not obnoxious, I don't mind.

Do you have the 85 mm piping? How loud is it? How's the sound? D you have the optional silencer?

What i like about the HKS is that I can put the silencer in when I want. The silencer on the Blitz is permanent.

Yep it's 85mm. All in all it is pretty quiet, although going from a stockish exhaust to it will make it seem louder than it actually is. It's a power loud at worst. Not even close to ricey. Sounds like the stock EVO exhaust to me. But I don't have the silencer.

One last thing, what else are you running exhaust wise? Elbow? Downpipe? Testpipe? All?

Didn't you read that I'm getting a good deal on these systems? I'm NOT spending $600 on a new system.

I have a true HKS 85mm with Megan Manifold, Megan 2.75" Elbow, Project Silvia DP and Test Pipe and my god, its so quiet. I really expected it to be louder than my Friends RB25 because that is a quiet motor. OMG...me and him are still amazed at how quiet it is.

I give another HKS 85mm vote.

Thanks, I appreciate it! You just made my decision 1000X easier.

HKS Hi-Power it is!

Just paid $246 shipped for the exhaust and optional $40 silencer. You can't beat that price.

I do believe my friend has the Megan Drift on his Hatch with RB25, but it may be another one of the versions. BUT, it is very quiet, once again a very quiet motor to begin with.

Oh, and I'm running 80mm 5zigen Rocket exhaust and it sounds and looks great! Plus, you get a card that says "RACE USE ONRY!". No joke.

The Megaphone was a great exhaust, very close to a stock look and wasn't too loud at all. I had one on my car for almost a year before it met its untimely demise from a protruding manhole Now I have the N1 and its nice, but attracts A LOT more attention.

I just recieved my HKS exhaust a few days ago, and let me tell you, it's freakin' huge!

It came in great shape, and just needs to be cleaned up a bit. I'll spray some Hi-Temp paint on it just for extra precautions.

One thing that I found to be interesting when looking it over was the fact that it had a JASMA plate attached to the canister. Even though everything is huge, it was designed to be within a reasonable sound intensity. Plus, I even have the optional silencer to further reduce noise levels.

All in all, I'm impressed.

LMFAO that's where you get that stupid away message from. Yeah the Hi Power does look gigantor when you take it out of the box but tucked under like I mentioned before it looks fine and sounds awesome.
