So ive been looking for catless pipes for my na. for 3 days. cant find squat except for twin turbos. now the reason why I want these is because I had a mechanic put new cats on for emissions. little did I know I have a rich burning z and want to get straight pipes to save my cats. yes I know I need to check o2 sensors, ill do that soon. but I still want no cats. but you see, my delima is that my mechanic had my cats welded to my resonater. sadly. so I have a resonated x pipe I got for cheap (might go non res soon) but I want catless. any help?? :rotflmao

I have the megan racing ones on my car for years now and no problems, only thing is depending on your setup they can make the car quite loud, but I also have headers so there's that

Librilz what kind of headers are you running? Because i hear mixed things when it comes to headers.

I have Megan racing headers, they're a lot lighter than the stock manifolds, only thing is I wish I would've gotten some that were ceramic coated or something. But overall I don't think they make the car louder or anything, and you can do a simple test of blowing through them and the flow difference is immediately noticeable and better than stock. Like an N/A mod though don't expect the world of difference as far as horsepower

Also agreed with Librilz, headers don't do a lot and the main issues are installation hassle for the minimal gain, and poor/horrible fitment with cheaper brands especially with the later exhaust components.

blah blah on bashing headers, i still think i have the best NA exhaust but mine wasnt cheap. as for this post leave your cats on a NA with no cats and no res in your future it will make your car much slower and sound like s***. installing headers isnt bad but thats my opinion, they look sexy though go stainless if u decide on headers

Not bashing them, as you said there are quality pieces but they ain't cheap. As with anything, the better quality the more expensive they are due to that quality.
But it stands that the gains are minimal.

Im picking up Megan racing headers and test pipes for a steal of a deal. I have a resonated h pipe I just go and some mufflers that sound good even with cats and the stock res on it. also, im having emission problems and the cats I have welded seem to be drastically smaller than the stock ones I replaced. any recommendations for cat sizes? I have flowmaster high flow and want to throw on something that will drastically reduce emissions but I haven't seen much of any reviews anywere. thanks for the help on the test pipes everyone! pics coming soon of the full exhaust setup!

I know. the test pipes are for after I pass emissions and want to get a non ricey sound. but I need cats that will greatly help me pass emissions.
