I have a 93 N/a 300zx 2+2 and it currently has 2.5 or 3 inch pipes with magnaflow mufflers, i hate how it sounds cause its loud and raspy
i was suggested to take it to a muffler shop and get it resonated and to add an H or X pipe, do you guys think this will help? if not what should i do?

heres a quick video of the exhaust on the car

So it's straight piped right now? Resonated h-pipes are more quite and less raspy than X pipes. Could also get resonators where the cat's would be if they have been removed.

You need to tear that garbage out of your car. I had a very similar setup LONG ago and it sounded like s***.
Do it right, buy correct exhaust that bolts together and uses the factory hangers. ANY N/A Z is going to sound like s*** without resonators.

Ya straight pipe isnt the way to go. Even if you get a resinated x or h pipe your not going to get the sound your looking for. I ran 3' megan down pipes with a rezinated h pipe followed by 2.5' straight pipes for a while on my 2+0 na. Was loud and annoying and raspy. Switched it up to B&B exhaust with a resonated x pipe and threw away the garbage I had on (kept the megan downpipes). 100% more better.
