A perfect example of why I just got in touch with a wicked mechanic who's straight out of Osaka =] I really hate how everyone is never impressed with someone's project on here. Instead... it's just a great F**K Fest and flaming on people seeking opinions.

GOOD JOB GUYS!

Zenki S14 $2700 (only 97K Miles) Budget $8500

Showing you pictures of my ride when it's done?

Priceless.

At least I can afford my hobby =]

While his comment may be "retarded" id rather have a stock ls6 than a worked sr for my car.

i never said that sr's dont have speed but i am saying that a bigger motor can push out more power then a sr but the sr is still a great motor to have

i think it was the part where you said an sr is more of a drifter thing that got you into this.

Congrats on your SR'd 240sx! As for tuning the SR check this site out:

http://www.srwonersclub.com/faq, there's also a wealth of info on Nicoclub's 240sx forums. http://www.phase2motortrend.comhttp://www.fr-sport.com

Don't Forget to checkout http://www.forumshawaii.net! (I'm thinking you acquired the SR'd 240sx from there?)- Was it a light-bluish fastback with the SOHC bumper running on 17's? You're lucky, I was "eyeing" that Fasty out... sad to say I was short on fund$...

Darn, I'm still rockin' a '90 SOHC KA Fasty...(Auto-Tragic!)... I wish I has a 5-spd DOHC, it would make an SR conversion that much easier!

Anyways, goodluck on your PROject... representin' the "808"... Nissan 240SX Family!

i read that the compression is 11:1 in a stock sr20 motor. that seems really high to me. do you think the stock pistions can handle 20 psi or do i need to get different pistons

no way theyre 11:1 iirc theyre like 8 or 8.5:1 but i don't remember off the top of my head. if you run 20 psi on the stock turbo, you might as well say goodbye to it

I figured wheels, breaks and suspension were important, not the ones designed for cosmetic purposes though.
