So i blew the head gasket, and it is now getting a cometic, arps, along with RB 444cc injectors, z32 maf, and new gaskets, along with a tune hopefully.

I hate to go ebay on an eprom, but honestly i just need a base to get it running once i get it back together, and to hold me off until i can afford the nistune package.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a chip? i am not worried about the socketing, my dads work can do that, so i just need a company name or maybe someone on here can do one for me.

mods are.-50trim top mount-walbro-z32 maf-444cc-other bolt ons with an safc1

I have all the help you need....

DONT DO IT!

When it comes to tuning, do not cheap out. Just use the SAFC for now until the Nistune is affordable. Cheaping out on your management = dead motor. It isnt worth it.

I would rather have my maps hard tuned into the EPROM than rely on a magic box to trick my ECU into thinking conditions are different than they are. I have run a custom EPROM for about 2 years with no problems. I run a KAE MAF, full bolt ons and 15psi on a T25G daily with no issues.

Here is a great start:http://texasnissans.com/tx/for...=2675The guy that loaded those ROMs actually did my custom one and did one for a buddy. Now, he did provide me a hook up (cost of EPROM), but you may want to contact him.

SAFC is "cheapening out" IMHO. If I were to build something more extreme than my setup now, I would look into a custom solution like a Haltec or a SDS. To each his own...

I'm talking about those ebay EPROMS specifically. If there is a guy that turns out good ROMS then go for it.

SAFC is in no way an end all be all with me, I would much prefer stand-alone. Piggybacks are good for minor tuning though.

The actual process of modifying the ECU for injectors and MAFS is pretty straight forward and it's a much better route than JUST the SAFC.

Just update the K value for you MAF and injectors (live edit or similar program will do all the calculations for you)

no tuning required. just run the stock fuel and spark map with the updated K value.

over the last couple years, several members posted they successfully run chips from different ebay sources tuned for various setups. So they do exist.I believe some nico CA18 members supplied them also, like BEST1 and 50/50 iirc.

A few 300hp CA18 tuned using Emanage blue. That way you control your fuel and timing if seeking a custom tune. Rexhunta posted detail installation instructions on this forum
