Keep an eye on our classifieds section.. Nissan parts to be specific.. I bet we see 3-4 KA engines for sale every week.. Lots of them in your neck of the woods even. I bet you'll find a good running engine pretty cheap in no time.

Check out the forum registry on the top of the page and be sure to add yourself. We're in the process of cataloging the remaining convertibles.. Not too many left.

I would love to find the entire engine, cause I have a rod knocking and everyone I know is a honda freak...so no luck there. My dream is to do an rb20 swap and convert it to manual. but as it is, I'd just be happy to drive my vert again as soon as possible

i got 1 with a blown head gasket but its completly tore down to the block the head just needs to be milled im not doing it cuz after i blew my head gasket i did the sr20det swap its almost done

I'm assuming you have another car to drive daily so i'll ask:If you want to do an RB swap, why not save up for that instead of the KA? In the meantime you can clean the car, prep it up, etc. for the swap later on. Just a suggestion.

Just a quick question for you.. I have no idea how good you are with engines.. so don't be insulted if this is a very elementary question.. but it's good to cover all the bases.

A lot of people with 240's have a problem with the timing chain guides. They make all kinds of noise and clatter and often mistaken for other things. Rod knock should be a different sound, but.. you never know..

I'd hate to see you scrap an engine due to the timing chain guides.. it's a very easy repair.

Again.. you may be completely positive that it's rod knock... and I might be way off.. I just have no idea what competance level people are at until they post a little more often and share there experience level.

Just an idea..
