I've seen them before, can someone point me to the spreadsheet or printout of the wiring ID for the ECU plugs in a 90-93 and a 1994?

Q45tech, thanks for the message.

Trying to match up the pin connections between the two cars, and if I had the spreadsheets I've seen posted, it would make a side by side comparsion much easier. Hate to re-invent the wheel.

If you don't mind me asking what are you building?

The wiring diagrams from these days are not easy to decipher and as Q45tech has mentioned the basic pinout is on page EC-9 http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/ec.pdf

I cannot resize this and make it still ledgible so I would recommend looking at it and comparing it to an older one or whatever you are trying to do.

Oh and the ESM is for a 94. I only have the other books in paper form and cannot locate the driver disc for my scanner.

Don't mind your asking at all. I bought this Q45 from qsiguy:

zerothread?id=278868

That's after Shane pillaged all the performance parts. BTW, Shane is a super guy to work with.

Luckily I had most of the replacement parts in my storage. Problem is I put a 1991 engine in the car, and installed the '91 harness. The '94 car likes the '94 harness much better especially for things like the AC, fuel pump & instruments.

David- Did you figure out the 2 spare plugs in the DS engine compartment? Is it a 94 harness?

Not really helping but Good luck with the project. By the way 91 engine in a 94 Q is the perfect Q45 because you have speed and luxury.

Yes I know sodium filled valves are only good for frequent redlining and racing. And the old transmission is better at acceleration by only 5% but those little thing go a long way toward a high performance Q45

How much harder would it be to install the original harness the engine was meant for?

Nick over in the VH forum made a nice document. Here is the thread link but I just went there and couldn't get the PDF to open. Not sure if it's my system or if the link is dead. Give it a try. If you can't get it maybe add a post to the thread and ask Nick to fix it. He may have updated it by now anyway.

It's to convert the Z32 wiring to work with the VH ECU but it's got some great info.

Originally I installed the 1991 Harness and discovered it was missing a couple of plugs for under the dash. After looking at wiring diagrams until my eyes bled, I decided to go back to the 94 harness because of the AC and instrument cluster. That should also solve the two unused plugs under the hood, although I believe one of the plugs is for checking the timing.

That decision was good until I discovered the 94 harness had been cut up and has few bare ends where something was cut off.

So, anyone selling a good used 1994 harness? The car has the TCS option, but I don't think that makes a difference in the harness?
