so its tax return season and im looking to buy a new head unit. i was looking at getting the Pioneer AVIC-X910BT, ive been shopping around for prices and ive seen them range from 600 - 1000. the cheapest ive seen it, is on amazon. ive never bought anything off amazon so i dont know how reliable it will be or if its even legit. their prices are so low im a little worried if i buy from them. does anyone have any advice about this unit or where i should buy the unit? thanks for your help guys!

Amazon is very legit. They have been around since the 90's and have a great reputation for customer satisfaction. They are one of the few online retailers that lived thru the " dot com" crash. My sister worked for them for a few years when she was going to college in their CS department. I was very impressed with the training and screaning they go thru in order to do what thay do.

Now days they also work kind of as a listing service. Were some items are sold by separate vendors outside of Amazon, just listed on Amazons site. Amazon is very picky about who they do buisness with and will stand behind the products they sell.

I am pretty sure you will be safe and satisfied buying from them, I have always been and I have bought everything from TV's, guitars, stereo equipment, books, CDs, and DVDs. I had a problem just once where a DVD I ordered arived to me cracked. They OVERNIGHTED me a replacement and a package to return the broken one in.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!

Even though you found the item on Amazon, some times they're selling the product purely through a third party seller. Make sure you know who is selling you the product along with their policies before you buy.

You also want to check there warrantee policy. Most car audio companys void your warrantee if you purchase there product from a un authorized seller.

tried to buy the 110bt from US amazon, doesnt allow Canadian customers to purchase this product

anyone has any idea of a workaround, short of sending it to a warehouse on the US side of the border and picking it up?

Although 3rd parties list thier products thru Amazon, they do have to follow certain return and warrenty services to even list thier products on their site. They also have an A-Z warrenty thru Amazon that may cover you if you get screwed by a 3rd party seller. You can read the details on this stuff athttp://www.amazon.com/gp/help/...llers

As for DAAN, I am not sure what you can do, that is kind of weird they wont sell to you in Canada.

Did you order it from Amazon Canada? http://www.amazon.ca/
